About
Hi there! My name is Shannon, and I like long jaunts in the woods with the occasional mountain odyssey. I started out road running years ago when a co-worker talked me into doing a local 5K with her. (It will be fun she said – ha!) The race was way too early in the morning, very cold and painful but something about pushing my limits was intriguing. I had to do more. Road races soon escalated into triathlons, and then I finally found my passion in trail running. To date I’ve completed more than 29 ultra-distance trail races with some podium finishes.
I believe the key to success in endurance events and overall fitness is consistency. To stay consistent we all need a bit of strength training for injury prevention and a whole lot of enjoyment. If you don't have some fun with it, you're unlikely to stick to it! As a certified ultra running coach and personal trainer, I can help you reach your goals.
